Gregory Leclerc and Anne Paillet acquired their 5.5ha of old vines in Touraine in 2002 thus starting down the long road of preparing the vineyard for natural winemaking. From the outset, their approach has been intellectual, yet personal and intuitive. They observe and taste and act only when and where required.
The domaine is situated on the southern side of the Loire valley on the gently sloping edge of the escarpment above Chargé. Winemaking is all about freshness at Domaine Chahut et Prodiges. Barrel aging is used with great reserve in order to preserve the gifts of terroir under the breath of season and vintage.
